A Big Thank You to our 2017 Volunteers!
As we reflect on 2017, we are thankful for the spirit of generosity throughout the year of our volunteers. The men and women who visited Cheshire Home, and helped with various projects, truly made a difference in our facility and for our residents. We are sending a big thank you to:
The three Madison High faculty members, including Coach Steve Hughes, who took the time to paint our residents’ kitchen.
The Madison High School Boys’ Basketball Team, who dedicated time in the winter, painting at Cheshire Home and Cheshire III, and in the spring on their Day of Service Learning, planting flowers, digging a drainage ditch, and doing some additional landscaping.
Novartis employees who helped us open our residents terrace for the spring season.
NJ Cares, who sent a group of 20-25 volunteers in May to construct and plant three raised flower beds, paint a small number of canvas wall hangings with a Café Theme and construct some butcher-block style picnic benches for visitors.
Allergon, who will be offering an ice cream social for our residents, and helping out with painting projects.
The Union CYO, a wonderful group that frequently visits Cheshire and participates in activities with our residents.
There is much to do here at Cheshire Home to ensure that our facility is upgraded on a regular basis and feels like home to our residents! We appreciate when any group offers us a helping hand, and we wish our volunteers a Very Happy Holiday!
