All In To Celebrate Cheshire Home's 5K Run!

Posted Wed, Sep 24th, 2014

On Sunday, September 21st, Cheshire Home held its 15th Annual 5K "Run for Our Residents!" Runners and walkers took off from Madison High School at 9:00 a.m., worked the course over the streets of Florham Park and Madison, and finished at Cheshire Home where we all gathered to celebrate each participant's success. Every runner and walker contributed not only funds to support our unique training programs, but tremendous spirit that added so very much to our event.

Three of our residents, Rell Hamilton, Bill Kurnath, and Darren Creran, who was pushed by runner Barry Lass, completed the course and inspired the group that turned out to support them.  "Team Liana", comprised of resident Liana Kraenzlin and her family and friends, raised more than $2,500 on CrowdRise for Cheshire Home! Members of the team, led by Liana's sister Tara, ran and walked the race.

Runners Ted Mussano, Clovis Ribeiro, and John Doyle took the top honors for the men, with Christy Kimak, Meredith Byrne, and Maxine Presto finishing as  the top female runners.

This year's generous sponsors were:

Winners Circle: Poor Herbie's Restaurant, Gargoyle Investment, TD Bank, Silex Financial Group, MATRIXNEWORLD, Medline, Ace Twill; Gold Medal Circle: PNC Bank, Vericare, Hubco, NJ Respiratory, Boulder Construction, G.R. Murray, Horizon Blus Cross; Silver Medal: Gateway, Liberty Drug, Sandy & Lou Levy, Lindabury, Hickory Tree, Loeb & Troper, Berkeley Heating; Bronze Medal Circle: Dangler Funeral Home, PDG Consultants, RL Cooper Associates; Miler's Circle: Giordano, Cohen, Fastiggi, Luciano & Co., N. We invite you to visit our photos and share in the fun and spirit that made for a wonderful event!
