Cheshire Home Celebrates Veterans and Volunteers
We initially planned a lovely evening out on our newly renovated terrace, but as the rain pushed us indoors we quickly discovered that it was the spirit of the night, not the location, that would make it so special. While staff decorated, our living and dining rooms were quickly transformed into festive, patriotic atmospheres. Tables were set, the burgers and hot dogs were grilled inside in the kitchen, and best of all our friends and family members began to arrive. Executive Director George Zeitler stepped to the microphone to offer a warm welcome to our guests, and Recreation Director Mandy Hecht commemorated those present and passed who have served our country and preserved our liberty.
Resident Representative Alice Papa offered words of thanks to our supporters, and invited everyone to have a good time! That is exactly what we did, as the music, provided by Pete Limone, began, the food was served, and the celebration went on through the evening.
Thank you to all who joined us, and Cheshire Home salutes our military and thanks our volunteers who make a difference each day.
