Cheshire Home Raises Over $12,000 with Virtual 5K!
On September 1st, Cheshire kicked off their 40th Anniversary Year with a Virtual 5K Event! Over 80 participants hit the road to complete their miles in support of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month and Cheshire Home. This event allowed participants to run, jog, walk or roll through the course anytime and anywhere between September 1 - September 14. We even had runners as far away as Virginia join in the fun!
Over a dozen sponsors showed their support for our first 40th Anniversary event. A huge thank you to our Resident Sponsor, Wilpage Inc., allowing our residents to join in the fun. As many participants gathered with their teams, our residents did the same and completed their own personal course alongside our staff. They cheered each other on as they rolled through Florham Park. Our very own Florham Park Police Department, ran through Cheshire’s parking lot as part of their 5K route – our staff and residents cheered them on every step of the way.
Between the support of our many sponsors, our participants, and contributions, we raised over $12,000 to support the programs and services we provide to our residents. Thank you to everyone who participated in making our first Virtual 5K a true success. We look forward to seeing everyone in person next year!
