Cheshire Home Residents Enjoyed the Giants Pre-Season Opener
Cheshire Home residents enjoyed the Giants pre-season opener against the Steelers on Friday, August 11. We have all been excitedly waiting for the start of football season and here it is! The weather held out, our seats were field level and you could feel the energy all around us. There is nothing like the beginning of football season in your home team’s stadium!
Our Recreation Department plans various trips, and as summer turns into fall football games move right to the top of the list. Cheshire Home is so thankful for Giants Ticket Manager, John Corcoran’s generosity in donating these tickets annually so our residents can enjoy an evening at the stadium.
We arrived at Met Life Stadium with our Giants gear on and hopes of a good game. Big Blue didn’t disappoint. We were happy to see some familiar players start the pre-season with an impact! Safety, Landon Collins led the Giants with five tackles and Defensive End, Kerry Wynn let his fans know he is back and ready for action with some powerful plays. We also watched rookies and returning backup players fighting hard to secure their position on the 2017-2018 roster.
In the end, the Giants lost to the Steelers, 20-12. Luckily, this is only pre-season and we have faith that one of our home teams will make it to Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII!
