Cheshire's 14th Annual 5K "Run for our Residents"!
On Sunday, September 22nd, under beautiful blue skies, runners from throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas came together to compete and to raise funds for our specialized training and education programs!
Runners, under the direction of Race Director Joe Sikora and Cheshire Executive Director George Zeitler, took off at 9:00 a.m. from Madison High School and raced through the towns of Madison and Florham Park. Taylor Roberts, the first runner to cross the finish line at Cheshire Home, set an all-time record with a time of 16:40.62. Ted Mussano and Derek Grayson joined Taylor in the top male honors, as Christine Kimak, along with Camille Creary and Deborah Fennelly, were the top female runners.
Everyone did a tremendous job, and brought great spirit, along with their athleticism, to our event. It was our pleasure to award trophies 15 different age categories.
Thank you to all of our runners, volunteers and residents who made our 5K so special!
