Nielsen Volunteers for Global Impact Day

Posted Mon, Jun 16th, 2014

A group of 8 associates from the Nielsen Parsippany location chose Cheshire Home as their volunteer site on Global Impact Day!  Arriving with much enthusiasm and  "ready to work" smiles, they lent a helping hand throughout the building, polishing cabinets in the residents' kitchen, cleaning and setting up tables on the terrace, assisting us with mailing labels for our upcoming newsletter, and heading down to the basement for the glamorous job of moving boxes!

Resident Luz was very appreciative of the help offered to her in her room, and beamed for the cameras as she posed with new friends.

When the cleaning and organizing stopped the partying began, as our wonderful volunteers hosted residents and staff at a tasty and refreshing ice cream social.  The dining room, which is sometimes quiet during the mid-afternoon hours, was abuzz with activity as we were all treated to individually created ice cream sundaes.

Global Impact Day on June 12th truly made a difference at Cheshire Home, and we thank Nielsen for their caring, and their hard work.
