October is Physical Therapy Month!
October is Physical Therapy month and we’re spotlighting the life-changing progress made in Cheshire Home's Physical Therapy Center! Cheshire Home offers daily, on-site PT to our young population. It’s here that each individual gains the strength and mobility needed to reach their goals on their road to recovery and self-sufficiency. Physical therapy helps individuals with paralysis to improve blood circulation, regain a measure of stamina, strength and range of motion, and maintain muscles in paralyzed limbs while strengthening and toning less affected or unaffected muscles. Through the generous grants Cheshire Home has been awarded, we are able to offer our residents state of the art equipment and top-notch expertise! Our Physical Therapy team, headed by Bill Hadewycz, Director of Physical Therapy, includes Maria Fajardo (PT), Mary Palma (PT) and Cheryl Taylor (PT Aid). Their knowledge and hard work can be seen in the physical milestone's gained by our residents!
