Wow, What a Casino Night!
On Saturday evening, October 28th, we celebrated our Second Annual Casino Night, right here at Cheshire Home! Guests were invited to Cheshire for an evening of fun casino games, delicious food and prizes galore! Friends of Cheshire Home were not disappointed, as everyone had a great time and the evening proved to be a successful fundraiser for our facility!
Guests had fun playing a variety of casino games which included roulette, craps, black jack, a money wheel and a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament. Congratulations to our tournament winners! Our very own Eric Levine took third place. After a long night of playing, Bill Gump and Michael Zeitler tied for first place, graciously sharing the first and second place prizes. Way to go to all of our poker players! Thank you to Tumbling Dice for teaching some of our guests how to play casino games, sharing tips and making it an all-around great experience for gamblers and non-gamblers alike!
The food, catered by Encore Catering, was absolutely delicious. Guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres, including mini lobster rolls and maple glazed bacon skewers, slider and pasta stations, and desserts (which everyone raved about). Our open bar was in full swing all night.
Our final feature of the evening was awarding our Tricky Tray, Silent Auction, Let’s Make a Deal and 50/50 prizes to the winners. We are so happy that so many people went home with the prizes they had their hearts set on. Prizes included baskets filled with lots of goodies, gift certificates to local restaurants, overnight stays at luxurious hotels, sports memorabilia, jewelry, Disney Hopper Tickets, a week in Ocean City, Southwest passes and so much more! Congratulations to all of our winners!
Thank you to all who made this event possible! It was truly a fun night for all who participated, and we couldn’t be more thankful for those who donated prizes, sponsored the event and purchased tickets. The funds raised from our Casino Night are dedicated to support each resident in their ultimate goal of independent living.
