We are thrilled to announce that the Kessler Foundation has awarded Cheshire Home a grant of $25,000. The funds from this grant will be allocated to the specialized training and education programs of our Community Resource Center, utilizing assistive technology designed for people with paralysis. This year, Director of Vocational Services Jayne Dellon is very excited to introduce a new program, "Opening and Operating an eBay Business." All of our unique training programs are offered to Cheshire's residents, as well as to students with disabilities who reside in the community.

The Kessler Foundation and Cheshire Home share a common goal: to increase employment opportunities and career advancement for individuals with disabilities. Through the years, many of our residents have attained independence and earned college degrees after first training in our Resource Center.

We are gearing up for our new program, confident that participants will gain business skills that are transferable in an independent living environment. We cannot wait to see the positive impact this new program will have on all who participate.

The Kessler Foundation has been a constant supporter of Cheshire Home, dedicating  grant support to our Community Resource Center and resident transportation to area colleges and offsite employment sites. We are sending a BIG thank you to our friends at the Kessler Foundation!
