It started as a challenge when a grandfather of nine asked his grandchildren to come up with an idea of a way to give back around the holidays. The most creative and plausible idea would be put into action. That is how Steady Socks started. Now a freshman in high school, Simran Manhas, the granddaughter with the best idea, has been collecting and distributing socks to those in need.
Simran, with the help of her mother, Kim Chhugani, brought a donations of 70 pairs of Steady Socks to Cheshire Home yesterday and were met by Executive Director, George Zeitler, Director of Nursing, Madelyn Cerrato, Associate Director of Development, Kim Boyer and grateful residents.
Thank you Simran for your dedication to our community and for making Cheshire Home resident’s holiday merry and bright!
