INDEPENDENT LIVING

Cheshire III, Florham Park, New Jersey

Cheshire has two small community-based homes. Cheshire II, in Parsippany, houses six tenants, while Cheshire III in Florham Park, houses eight tenants (above). Our community homes were established in order to provide a comfortable, fully accessible residence for young adults with physical disabilities, who do not require 24-hour nursing care, and can self-transfer from wheelchairs.

These homes offer the privacy of individual rooms as well as spacious communal living, kitchen, and dining areas. The men and women who reside in Cheshire II and Cheshire III are responsible for their own meals, care and personal needs.

Both homes offer onsite features including a laundry amenity and full kitchen appliances in addition to

outdoor patios for individual or group enjoyment. Landscaping and snow removal are provided by Cheshire Home.

A separate wing is dedicated to our tenants’ rooms in order to ensure privacy, and a house manager lives onsite in order to facilitate socialization and address emergencies.

Cheshire II and Cheshire III reflect our commitment to providing a quality living environment for adults with disabilities. For information regarding admissions please contact Mandy Hecht, Director of Admissions at (973) 966-1232 extension 219, or at mhecht@cheshirenj.org, or Regional House Manager Tom Barrett at (973) 335-8205, or ch2@cheshirenj.org.
