CHESHIRE HOME SUMMER APPEAL

We all know that New Jersey summers can be very hot. Air conditioning is essential to get through those humid days. Cheshire Home must run its ventilation system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year because our residents who have suffered debilitating spinal cord injuries have lost the ability to regulate body temperature which can lead to serious health complications.

Would you consider a contribution to our “make Cheshire Home a cool place” initiative?

To provide the healthiest environment and comfort for our residents, Cheshire Home must replace all our outdated rooftop cooling units. The new HVAC systems will provide accurate temperature control and contain an air purification system that will eliminate 99% of the germs in the air.

As you can imagine, the cost to replace and install a high-capacity HVAC rooftop unit is costly—at least $25,000 per unit and some with greater capacity are nearly twice that!

Please help us reach our goal of $25,000 to replace our next HVAC unit.

We have replaced two units so far, one unit thanks to a generous grant from the F.M. Kirby Foundation, and a second unit thanks to the generous support of The Hyde & Watson Foundation. With six more to go, we need to raise an additional $150,000 to make these improvements possible.
